US and UK Progressives Should Join Forces to Fight Neoliberalism

The political histories of the US and the UK have often mirrored each other; from Reagan and Thatcher to Clinton and Blair, and most recently, Trump and Brexit. If You Can Deliberately Restrain Federal Spending, You Can Deliberately Expand It

Anti-austerity is a word, of which, culturally and socially speaking, perhaps the Spartans wouldn’t have approved of. We can accept that. It was a Laconian thing. We wouldn’t understand anyway. However, it is also a word, economically-speaking, that many orthodox economists and politicians understand but outright refuse to accept. It’s a neoliberal thing. We cannot and must not accept that.

MMT is Relevant to Everyday Life

He could not be less accurate but his critique is relevant because many do not pay attention and yet they wonder why they march in place.

This Picture is Every Reason Why Hillary Clinton was not the Lesser Evil

Modern Populism Resulting from Hegemonic Neoliberalism: How the Sanders Phenomenon Unleashed a Socialist Movement

On a macro-scale, the academic and political exploration of the “Sanders Phenomenon,” which are a series of events that unleashed a populist wave of democratic socialist political ideology within the U.S. electorate, has been mostly ignored. The purpose of this research is to explore, compare, and draw similarities in each author’s analysis to build a concise understanding of how the paradigm of previous generations’ support for neoliberal policies have affected the political revolution we experience today.
