#BREAKING: Senate Independents and Dems Unite Behind Voting Rights
Independents and Democrats in the Senate are uniting behind U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, and S 1437, in order to expand voters' rights, as well as access to voting locations and ballots.
On June 26th, 2017, Senator Gillibrand and 11 co-sponsors, including U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders and Senator Tammy Duckworth, introduced S 1437, "A bill to modernize voter registration, promote access to voting for individuals with disabilities, and protect the ability of individuals to exercise the right to vote in elections for Federal office."
While the Right continues to try to limit access, restrict rights, and gerrymander districts, the Center and Left are making strides to get as many Americans to the polls as possible.
Democracy CANNOT work if the people cannot be heard.
What do you think about S 1437 and expanding voters' rights?
