#BREAKING: Congress Introduces Bill to Terminate Pakistan As Ally

On June 22nd, Representative Poe of Texas, who has received a 0% rating in Foreign Affairs by both the Council for a Livable World and the Washington Report on Middle East Affairs, has called to terminate Pakistan as a US ally.

Poe, whose top contributing industry is Oil & Gas, introduced H.R. 3000 on Thursday. This bill aims to "terminate the designation of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan as a major non-NATO ally."

This move would declare the end of a 15-year ally relationship with the 6th largest world population, 8th largest armed forces, 23rd largest natural gas producer, 24th largest economy, a declared nuclear weapons nation, and a "Next Eleven" nation that has been identified as "having a high potential of becoming, along with the BRICS countries, among the world's largest economies in the 21st century."

The US clearly has much more to lose from this bill than it stands to gain.
